What's the story?
We
are a Renegade League (no penalties league) just starting out in Tucson AZ,striving to put
the dirty back in Derby and bring back the good ol' fashion 4 B dynamic of Booze, Boobs, Brutality and Bands. We feel Roller Derby has been cleaned up and
messed up enough by rules and pseudo professionalism and we are playing
the way it should be played- NO RULES,ANY SURFACE.
The Tucson league was started by Suzi Berrie,aka Berlin Wall, former Tucson Roller Derby skater and founding member in April 2011.
The Renegade Roller Girls (RRG) is a non-WFTDA-member women's roller derby league based in Phoenix, Arizona. The league was established in 2004 when several girls from multiple AZRD teams broke away in hopes to start a new league.
The Renegade League is a faster-paced game with no penalties and no referees to stop game play. They highlight each skater's skill while displaying moves which are considered "outlawed" by WFTDA leagues. The Renegade skaters all play by the motto "Any Surface. Any Time" and will play any team on concrete, wood, banked, sport court, or the middle of the street. There are leagues now in L.A., So Cal,Orange County, San Diego, Bend Oregon and of COURSE Arizona!!! interested in joining?
